Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS mission and values
  • Ability to work the scheduled hours including every other weekend
  • Ability to work full-time hours
  • Ability to stand for long periods in a kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations and food service operations
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with all customers
  • Experience in meal preparation preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Create high quality meals and dining experiences for customers
  • Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious, and palatable meals consistent with regulations
  • Adhere to state and federal food handling regulations and organizational policies
  • Work as part of a close-knit team focused on enriching older adults’ lives
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Participate in rotating weekend shifts
