Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS mission and values
- Ability to work the scheduled hours including every other weekend
- Ability to work full-time hours
- Ability to stand for long periods in a kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent education
- Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations and food service operations
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with all customers
- Experience in meal preparation preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Create high quality meals and dining experiences for customers
- Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious, and palatable meals consistent with regulations
- Adhere to state and federal food handling regulations and organizational policies
- Work as part of a close-knit team focused on enriching older adults’ lives
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Participate in rotating weekend shifts
