Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • ability to work in environments with exposure to heat, cold, fumes, chemicals, and moderate to loud noise levels

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • one to three months related experience or training
  • culinary experience
  • sales experience
  • ability to read and write simple correspondence in English
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • knowledge of cooking terminology and food safety practices
  • ability to use kitchen equipment and tools
  • strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • prepare products according to Fresh Foods Standards
  • process fresh food items efficiently
  • package products ensuring quality and safety
  • stock and restock shelves with fresh foods
  • provide excellent customer service
  • clean work areas and maintain sanitation
  • unload and reload stock and salvage products
