Job Requirements

  • Associates must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to carry out instructions
  • Completion of company training including food safety and customer service
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, and use hands for tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Culinary experience
  • Sales experience
  • Ability to read and write simple correspondence in English
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of cooking terminology and food safety practices
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment and cooking methods
  • Ability to determine food doneness and use portion control tools

Job Duties

  • Prepare food products according to Fresh Foods Standards
  • Process and package food items efficiently
  • Stock products ensuring freshness and proper rotation
  • Provide excellent customer service to meet satisfaction goals
  • Clean and maintain work areas to meet safety and sanitation standards
  • Unload stock deliveries and reload salvage products properly
  • Follow company training programs and food safety practices
