Job Requirements
- Minimum high school graduate
- At least 1 year of janitorial trade experience
- Possess necessary skills and knowledge related to custodial duties
- Ability to safely clean bodily fluids
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
- Ability to adhere to company and OSHA safety policies
- Must not leave school property during work hours without permission
- Must carry assigned communication devices
- Ability to assist in emergency situations
- Compliance with federal and state laws and company policies
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate
- At least 1 year of janitorial trade experience
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to handle bodily fluid cleanup with training
- Basic proficiency with cleaning equipment and materials
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capacity to follow detailed instructions and schedules
- Willingness to participate in training and skill development
Job Duties
- Clean assigned areas
- Clean interior spaces such as hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms, multipurpose rooms, and other assigned areas
- Clean exterior spaces including perimeter of school building, parking lot, playground, windows, and other assigned areas
- Empty trash receptacles
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment, window sills, air vents, and other areas as assigned
- Clean and sterilize restroom facilities
- Clean bodily messes including vomit, feces, urine, and blood according to training
- Remove waste from the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch
- Assist with cleaning cafeteria tables
- Maintain cafeteria floor cleanliness
- Sterilize high-use areas to reduce spread of bacteria
- Assist head custodian with cleaning projects
- Support preventative maintenance processes
- Travel to nearby schools or warehouse/storage as needed
- Participate in relevant training programs
- Review janitorial literature and developments
- Follow OSHA and safety procedures
- Perform other duties delegated by supervisor
- Carry hand-held radio if assigned
- Stay on school property during workday including lunch
- Report and assist in emergency situations
- Obtain permission before leaving campus for errands
