Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Less than 1 year clerical or administrative experience required
- Insurance or customer service experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required in Employee Health and may be required at other locations within 90 days of hire
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- IT and computer proficiency
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to patients families and visitors
- Manage patient appointment scheduling and check-in
- Verify insurance coverage and process authorizations and pre-certifications
- Post charges and handle initial collections
- Prepare accurate billing and maintain medical records
- Handle telephones and clerical administrative tasks
- Support workers compensation commercial carriers employee health and corporate accounts as needed
