Job Requirements
- Able to operate meat slicing and related equipment
- Physically able to walk long distances and stand for long periods
- Must have basic memorization, reading, writing and math abilities
- Must provide prompt, courteous and accurate customer service
- Good judgment for independent work
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Available to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old
Job Qualifications
- Equipment operation skills (meat slicer, scale, intercom, telephone, racks, calculator, forklift, meat grinder, cuber, bulker, meat mixer, patty machine, tenderizer, pressure washer)
- Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods
- Memorization, reading, writing and math skills
- Customer service and communication skills
- Good judgment and ability to work independently
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
Job Duties
- Perform meat and seafood cutting, wrapping, and preparation
- Maintain meat and seafood cases
- Clean and sanitize equipment, cases, work area and sales floor
- Assist customers with questions about product locations and suggestions
- Answer department phone calls and respond or refer as appropriate
- Assist in ordering and receiving meat and seafood shipments
- Perform other duties as assigned or delegated
