Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience working in meat and seafood department preferred
- knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- ability to lift and carry up to 95 pounds
- able to work varied hours Sunday through Saturday
- physical ability to handle bending, squatting, standing, and repetitive motions
- skill in operating meat department equipment including meat saw, grinder, slicer, wrapping machine, pallet jack, and forklift
- excellent communication and team leadership skills
Job Qualifications
- Friendly and outgoing and promotes customer service for the entire team
- has experience working in meat department for 2 to 3 years preferred
- knows about meats, seafood, seasonings, and good recipes
- attended Food Safety training
- motivated to grow their career and continue learning
Job Duties
- Make lasting connections with our customers
- prepare meat and seafood products including a variety of beef, fish, poultry, and pork
- fill and rotate cases and displays including some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
- assist with merchandising and receiving products to keep shelves full
- create and manage weekly work schedules for the entire team
- train and develop future Meat and Seafood Managers
- wrap, cut, and tray a variety of products and help manage shrink
- help maintain a clean and sanitary store
