Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service environment
  • knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations
  • ability to multitask and handle pressure in a busy kitchen
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • adherence to company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • prepare and produce food using cooking methods like saute, grill, fry, bake, and roast
  • operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • perform basic to advanced knife skills including slicing, chopping, mincing, julienning, and dicing
  • prepare and store food products properly while maintaining sanitation levels
  • follow standardized recipes and adhere to portion control guidelines
  • read kitchen tickets and produce menu items accordingly
  • monitor finished products to ensure timely service and notify leadership of any delays
  • clean and organize kitchen areas, walk-in coolers, and equipment
  • properly store food and chemicals with correct labeling and temperature control
  • clean and break down workstations at shift end and ensure kitchen security
  • communicate with dishwashers regarding clean dishes and maintain sanitation standards
  • report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately
  • follow all instructions from department and venue leadership
  • support special events and catering as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned
