Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution, or culinary advanced education
- ability to follow instructions in English
- effective communication skills
- basic arithmetic skills
- knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- knowledge of nutrition and diet
- ServeSafe Certified or ability to obtain certification within six months

- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English

- performs simple arithmetic
- ability to understand measurements and conversions
- a minimum of three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution or culinary advanced education
- ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
- knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- some knowledge of nutrition and diet
- ServeSafe Certified or ability to become certified within six months of hire date
Job Duties
- Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
- maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code including federal and state regulations
- attends and completes in-service training and education sessions as assigned
- performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- follows Marquette policies and procedures
