Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution or culinary advanced education
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Ability to plan and organize work
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • Some knowledge of nutrition and diet
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • ServeSafe Certified or ability to become certified within six months of hire date

  • Ability to understand measurements and conversions

Job Duties

  • Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code including federal and state regulations
  • Attends and completes in-service training and education sessions as assigned
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • Follows Marquette policies and procedures
