Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of three years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen environment
- strong communication skills in English
- ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- basic math skills including measurements and conversions
- knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen equipment
- ability to maintain personal hygiene and comply with dress code
- willingness to attend training sessions and complete certification
- ability to work as part of a team
- physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties
Job Qualifications
- ability to understand and follow instructions in English

- performs simple arithmetic
- ability to understand measurements and conversions
- a minimum of three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution or culinary advanced education
- ability to plan and organize work
- ability to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
- knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- some knowledge of nutrition and diet
- servsafe certified or ability to become certified within six months of hire date
Job Duties
- maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
- maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code including federal and state regulations
- attends and completes in-service training and education sessions as assigned
- performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- follows marquette policies and procedures
