Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of two years' experience in cooking and quantity food production
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment competently
  • knowledge of cooking temperatures for meat and seafood
  • ability to lift 50 pounds, carry 50 pounds, and push/pull 95 pounds of force
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • must pass a criminal background check with no drug charges
  • available for full-time schedule with flexibility, including weekends and holidays
  • good customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited culinary school or equivalent experience
  • minimum of two years' experience in quantity food production
  • ability to operate all types of quantity food service equipment with demonstrated competency on at least five pieces of production equipment
  • ability to manage time independently
  • general knowledge of cooking temperatures, specifically for meat and seafood
  • strong oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • work well within a team
  • available most shifts including weekends and holidays with flexibility
  • positive attitude
  • ability to quickly solve problems in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents and staff
  • maintain kitchen sanitization according to state regulations
  • prep and prepare for the following shifts
  • interact and engage with senior residents
  • prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • clean and maintain stations in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • assist with the cleaning and organization of the kitchen and equipment
  • restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
