Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of relevant restaurant or culinary experience preferred
  • Food Handler Certification if required
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities

Job Qualifications

  • One year of previous experience in restaurant or culinary work in a high-volume full-service restaurant preferred
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable
  • Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive rapport with diverse personalities
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests in a timely manner
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service period
  • Follow item specifications including preparation, execution, and presentation of dishes
  • Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
  • Implement proper sanitation practices to prevent food spoilage and contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Maintain a clean workstation including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saute burners, convection ovens, flat top ranges, and refrigeration equipment
  • Assist in daily cleaning of the pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in and prep areas
  • Report maintenance or repair needs to the Executive Chef
  • Follow departmental policies and restaurant rules as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Support banquet food production as required
