Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant and/or culinary experience in a high volume, full-service restaurant preferred
  • Food handler certification
  • Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment
  • Ability to multitask under pressure
  • Ability to establish positive rapport with diverse personalities

Job Duties

  • Know and comply consistently with standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain clean and sanitary workstation areas including grills, broilers, fryers, and refrigeration equipment
  • Comply with hotel and restaurant rules, policies, and employee handbook guidelines
  • Ensure excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests
  • Prepare food items timely and educate servers on menu details
  • Assist in daily cleaning of pantry, cooking line, prep areas, and kitchen facilities
