Job Requirements
- At least two years of cooking experience above fast food or fast casual level
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain certification if hired
- Must be at least 19 years old
- Ability to work from 10:00am to 6:00pm any day of the week including weekends and holidays
- Must pass a background check and drug screen prior to hire
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Willingness to adhere to organizational policies and kitchen safety standards
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of cooking experience above fast food or fast casual level
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Experience in a senior living or healthcare food service setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Effective communication and team leadership skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Ensure high-quality food is prepared, apportioned, and presented appealingly to residents
- Perform various types of food preparation including baking, grilling, stove-top, and oven cooking
- Clean and maintain kitchen area to meet safety and sanitation standards
- Oversee progress of cooks' abilities and provide training or guidance as needed
- Manage kitchen projects or specific aspects of food preparation
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and organizational policies
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive dining experience
