Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in hotel laundry
- minimum age of 18 years
- able to multitask efficiently
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of fabric care and stain removal
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- understanding of safety and chemical handling protocols
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in hotel laundry
- minimum age requirement of 18 years
- proficiency in multitasking
- ability to meet the needs of others in a dynamic and fast-paced setting
- familiarity with washing, drying, and folding techniques for various types of fabrics
- ability to identify and treat different types of stains effectively
- efficient time management to handle large volumes of laundry under tight deadlines
- capability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- knowledge of safety protocols for handling chemicals and operating machinery safely
Job Duties
- Sorts dirty linen
- operates and maintains laundry equipment including washer and dryer
- folds and stores linen
- processes damaged linen and discarded items
- removes stains from linen
- puts new linen into circulation
- cleans and maintains the laundry area
- completes special daily work assignments
- turns in all lost and found items to Floor Supervisor or Housekeeping Office
- demonstrates positive guest relations
- demonstrates knowledge of various cleaning products
- demonstrates proper and safe use of all equipment and chemicals
- demonstrates safe work practices at all times
- occasionally helps deliver linen to storage
- knowledge of emergency procedures
- attends hotel and department meetings and other functions required by management
- communicates all pertinent information to Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Executive Housekeeper
- must be available to work weekends and holidays
- arrives to work on time, ready to clock in, in a clean/pressed uniform and non-slip shoes
- maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- wears name tag at all times when at work
- must be attentive, courteous and efficient when dealing with Guests and co-workers
- complies with compliance standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- establishes and maintains good communications and teamwork with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel
- familiar with all policies, hotel rules, and hotel terminology
- capable of self-supervision and ability to manage time accordingly to complete required work
