Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience preferred
- memory care experience preferred
- ability to communicate clearly
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including standing and lifting
- must adhere to safety and fire code regulations
- able to work flexible schedules including part-time or full-time hours
- must demonstrate a commitment to senior care
Job Qualifications
- Must have memory care experience
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- must demonstrate interest in working with a senior population
- courteous and friendly interaction with guests, residents, and staff
- physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision
Job Duties
- Performs cleaning duties according to schedule including daily, weekly, monthly tasks in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices
- sweeps, dusts, dust mops, and wet mops floors and stairways
- spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets and runners
- rotates runners in hallways and entryways
- cleans, sanitizes, and polishes lavatory, shower and sink fixtures and facilities
- stocks dispensers as necessary
- scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills
- maintains equipment and materials in a clean and orderly condition
- collects trash and refuse and places in designated pick-up areas
- collects, cleans, and redistributes community laundry
- maintains commercial laundry in clean, orderly and sanitary condition
- ensures cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
- ensures cords, carts, equipment and other hazards are kept out of the way and not blocking exits in compliance with fire codes
- reports needed repairs and supply and equipment needs to Lead Housekeeper
- other duties as assigned
