Job Requirements
- Must pass a California criminal background clearance
- must be able to work independently and follow directions given by their supervisor
- must be in good physical and mental condition
- good health verified by a health screening performed by a licensed physician, including a chest X-ray or intradermal test for TB
- must be able to hear, talk, and have clear vision with or without corrective lenses
- must be able to balance, crouch, bend, grasp, kneel, pinch, pull, push, reach above the head, reach with arms extended, stand, stoop, bend, turn, twist neck, waist, or knees, lift or exert force of up to 35 lbs
- must be able to work in an environment with moderate noise levels and subject to infectious diseases, substances, odors, and burns from equipment requiring precautions
- hold, at minimum, a high school diploma or GED
- must possess written and oral communication skills in English
- six months of prior housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties
- Follow the monthly housekeeping checklist
- read, understand, and follow material safety data sheets (MSDS)
- wash beds and mattresses and remake beds
- keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
- distribute laundered articles and linens
- clean and maintain resident and staff rooms, including bathrooms and kitchens
- disinfect and sterilize equipment, supplies, and frequently touched surfaces
- sweep and mop floors
- clean and vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dust furniture and equipment
- clean drinking fountains
- wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork
- wash windows, door panels, and sills
- empty wastebaskets and bring waste to the dumpsters
- identify safety hazards and report to the supervisor immediately
