Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must have open availability weekdays and weekends
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs with or without accommodation
  • Able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50lbs
  • Able to walk and stand for up to 8 hours a day with or without accommodation
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to complete cleaning and inspection tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to speak and understand basic English
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Background in housekeeping or janitorial service
  • Luxury housekeeping experience preferred
  • Honest, dependable, and responsible
  • Enjoys working with people and is a team player
  • Neat and clean appearance
  • Flexible schedule and availability to work weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Attend and participate in daily pre-shift meetings
  • Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash
  • Clean room refrigerators, coffee/tea makers, cups, and glasses
  • Wear safety protection equipment as provided in line with department and local regulations
  • Handle and store chemicals according to hotel and legislative requirements
  • Greet and acknowledge guests, answer questions
  • Communicate room status via phone system to establish when service is completed and rooms are ready
  • Report rooms unable to service to supervisor
  • Document deficiencies or damages found in rooms using ticketing platform and report to supervisor
  • Follow established safety procedures and report any incidents or suspicious behavior
  • Respond to guest special requests and ensure satisfaction
  • Participate in hotel recycling and green cleaning programs
  • Report and log lost and found items according to procedures
  • Maintain assigned housekeeping carts and stock at the end of shifts
  • Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and room turndown duties as needed
