Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have open availability weekdays and weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk and stand up to 8 hours daily with or without accommodation
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to speak and understand basic English
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Background in housekeeping or janitorial service
- Luxury housekeeping experience preferred
- Honest, dependable, and responsible
- Enjoy working with people and be a team player
- Neat and clean appearance
- Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Attend and participate in daily pre-shift meetings
- Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash
- Clean room refrigerators, coffee/tea makers, cups, glasses
- Wear safety protection equipment in line with regulations
- Handle and store chemicals safely and according to hotel and local rules
- Greet and acknowledge guests and answer questions
- Communicate room status via phone to confirm when service is complete and rooms are ready
- Report rooms unable to service to supervisor
- Document deficiencies or damages using ticketing platform and report to supervisor
- Follow established safety procedures and promptly report health, safety, or security incidents
- Respond to guest special requests and ensure satisfaction
- Participate in hotel recycling program and green cleaning initiatives
- Report and log lost and found items
- Maintain housekeeping carts, empty and restock at shift end
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure quality and service
- Assist with deep cleaning projects
- Occasionally assist with room turndown duties
