Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have open availability including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to perform duties
  • Must comply with all safety regulations and wear protective equipment
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to speak and understand basic English
  • Demonstrate honesty and dependability
  • Ability to work well in a team environment focused on guest service
  • Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance
  • Must have background in housekeeping or janitorial service
  • Luxury housekeeping experience preferred
  • Possess basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff

Job Duties

  • Attend and participate in daily pre-shift meetings
  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms following established standards
  • Make beds, dust, vacuum, clean and sanitize bathrooms
  • Remove trash and rubbish from rooms
  • Clean room refrigerators, coffee and tea makers, cups, and glasses
  • Wear safety protection equipment in accordance with regulations
  • Handle and store chemicals safely as per hotel guidelines
  • Greet and acknowledge guests, answering questions courteously
  • Communicate room status for service completion and readiness
  • Report rooms that cannot be serviced to supervisors
  • Document deficiencies, damages, and maintenance issues using ticketing platform
  • Follow established safety procedures and report incidents immediately
  • Respond to guest special requests ensuring satisfaction
  • Participate in hotel recycling and green cleaning initiatives
  • Report and log lost and found items appropriately
  • Maintain and restock housekeeping carts
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure service quality
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects regularly
  • Occasionally assist with room turndown duties
