Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have open availability including weekdays and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours daily
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to perform cleaning tasks
- Must be honest and dependable
- Must enjoy working as part of a guest service team
- Basic English communication skills
- Clean and professional appearance
- Flexible schedule for weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to speak and understand basic English
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Background in housekeeping or janitorial service
- Luxury housekeeping experience preferred
- Honest and dependable
- Enjoy working with people and be a team player
- Neat and clean appearance
- Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Attend and participate in daily pre-shift meetings
- Clean and service assigned rooms or areas including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, and sanitizing bathrooms
- Remove trash and rubbish
- Clean room refrigerators, coffee/tea makers, cups, and glasses
- Wear safety protection equipment as required
- Handle and store chemicals according to hotel regulations
- Greet and acknowledge guests, answer questions
- Communicate room status to establish when service is completed
- Report rooms unable to service to supervisor
- Document deficiencies or damages found in rooms
- Follow established safety procedures including the use of safety button
- Respond to guest special requests
- Follow hotel recycling program and green cleaning initiatives
- Report and log all lost and found items
- Maintain and stock housekeeping carts
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and room turndown duties occasionally
