Job Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- must have open availability weekdays and weekends
- must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
- must be able to push and pull carts and equipment up to 50 lbs
- must be able to walk and stand up to 8 hours a day
- must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch for cleaning and inspection tasks
- must have flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- must be honest and dependable
- must have neat and clean appearance
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to speak and understand basic English
- basic reading, writing, and math skills
- background in housekeeping or janitorial service
- luxury housekeeping experience preferred
- must enjoy working around people and be a team player in guest service
Job Duties
- Attend and participate in daily pre-shift meetings
- clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash
- clean room refrigerators, coffee and tea makers, cups, glasses
- wear safety protection equipment as provided
- handle and store chemicals in line with regulations
- greet and acknowledge guests, answer questions
- communicate room status to establish when service is complete and rooms are ready
- report any rooms unable to be serviced to supervisor
- document deficiencies or damages in rooms using ticketing platform and report to supervisor
- follow safety procedures and report any safety incidents or suspicious behavior
- respond to guest special requests to ensure satisfaction
- be familiar with recycling programs and green cleaning initiatives
- report and log lost and found items
- maintain housekeeping carts, empty and stock at shift end
- work as part of a team and communicate with other departments
- assist with deep cleaning projects
- occasionally assist with room turndown duties
