Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three months experience in a position involving heavy cash handling and customer service
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Capability to multitask
- Ability to use tact and understanding in customer service situations
- Physical ability to handle coins, utensils, and carry light trays
- Ability to stand for entire shift and lift arms above head
- Vision to read written materials and computer screens
- Comfort working in indoor environment with standing and walking
- Capacity to lift items up to 10 pounds
- Willingness to report maintenance and housekeeping discrepancies promptly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with heavy cash handling and customer service exposure
- Mathematical aptitude at a high school graduate level
- Knowledge of standard cash handling procedures
- Familiarity with computerized cash register systems
- General understanding of customer service skills and restaurant operations
- Knowledge of food service principles
Job Duties
- Greet arriving customers with a cordial welcome
- Escort customers to assigned tables and issue menus
- Establish rapport to accommodate special needs or requests
- Assign sections and notify servers of new seats
- Maintain visibility in the restaurant and assist servers
- Process payments accurately and count back change aloud
- Verify guest check accuracy including pricing and discounts
- Ensure all charge vouchers are fully completed
- Collect and report customer feedback to management
- Distribute and account for all checks issued to servers
- Count all revenues and alert management to discrepancies
- Balance and reconcile daily business records
- Assist with restaurant cleaning and setup prior to opening
- Report maintenance or housekeeping issues promptly
- Exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor throughout shift
