- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of experience in product identification and sales including credit cards and protection plans
- 1 to 2 years experience as a head cashier
- 1 to 2 years experience working in any Lowe's department
- 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience including employee training and coaching
- Experience detecting shoplifting signs preferred
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to recommend products and services appropriately
- Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
- Moves throughout checkout area to ensure accurate completion of transactions
- Thanks customers and invites them to shop at Lowe's
- Provides SMART customer service by executing company policies and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise
- Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions
- Coaches, develops, and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
- Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds using cash register
- Provides supervision, coaching, and support to front-end team associates
- Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise
- Answers incoming phone calls and directs or takes messages
- Opens additional registers as needed to ensure coverage
- Prepares register area by confirming functionality and stocking supplies
- Inspects returned merchandise for damages
- Enters and submits customer orders and verifies receipts
- Reviews and places online orders and manages returned merchandise
- Verifies product information and competitor prices for price matching
- Records store use items accurately
- Obtains safety bags and monitors cash drawers to comply with requirements
- Monitors store entrances for merchandise security and assists with alarms
- Detects signs of shoplifting and communicates risks to management
- Maintains cleanliness and organization through compliance with housekeeping standards
- Ensures a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews
- Operates store equipment like phone systems, copiers, CCTV, and others as needed
- Performs additional duties as assigned
