Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using computers
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Ability to lift items up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting during shift
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must adhere to all safety and security protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Ability to coach and train associates
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills including use of retail technology
- Supervisory experience preferred
Job Duties
- Monitors multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously to assist customers
- Approaches and interacts with customers to recommend products and services
- Provides SMART customer service in compliance with company policies
- Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
- Uses cash registers to process sales, returns, and refunds accurately
- Supervises and supports Front End associates and loaders
- Prepares register area, inspects merchandise, processes orders, and verifies price matches
- Maintains store cleanliness and safety according to standards
- Detects security risks and communicates them promptly to management
- Operates store equipment as needed
