Job Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
  • Supervisory experience including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
  • Knowledge of retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • Ability to respond promptly to customer and employee questions
  • Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
  • Approaches and interacts with customers proactively to recommend products and services
  • Provides SMART customer service by following company policies and procedures
  • Coaches, develops, and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
  • Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register
  • Maintains store cleanliness and safety by following housekeeping standards and safety protocols
  • Monitors merchandise movement and detects signs of shoplifting or security risks
