Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using computers for data input and access
- Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach during shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Supervisory experience including coaching and training employees
- Knowledge of retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- Customer service skills with ability to engage and assist customers
- Ability to operate store equipment relevant to the role
Job Duties
- Monitors and assists customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Proactively greets and engages customers while recommending products and services
- Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register
- Supervises and coaches front-end associates including cashiers and loaders
- Inspects returned merchandise and manages customer orders and stock placement
- Detects signs of shoplifting and coordinates with management and Asset Protection
- Maintains a clean, safe, and secure work environment adhering to safety standards
