Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of computer use experience including inputting, accessing, or modifying information
- Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology such as smartphones or tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Ability to lift items up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Experience as a head cashier preferred
- Retail experience working in any Lowe's department preferred
- Supervisory experience including directing, training, and coaching
- Knowledge of shoplifting detection preferred
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to recommend products and services
- Greets, assists, and engages customers during checkout
- Moves throughout the checkout area ensuring accurate transaction completion
- Thanks customers and invites them back
- Provides SMART customer service following Lowe's policies
- Assists customers with product location, demonstration, and selection
- Listens and responds to customer and employee inquiries
- Communicates product and warranty information
- Coaches and trains associates
- Processes sales transactions and returns
- Provides monetary change to front-end associates
- Supervises front-end team
- Removes security tags and bags merchandise
- Answers and directs phone calls
- Opens additional registers to ensure coverage
- Assists in line vesting
- Prepares register area and confirms functionality
- Inspects returned merchandise
- Enters and submits customer orders
- Reviews and places online orders
- Verifies price matches
- Records store use items
- Monitors cash in drawers
- Detects shoplifting and security risks
- Maintains cleanliness and organization
- Ensures workplace safety
- Operates store equipment
- Performs additional duties as assigned
