Job Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and warranties preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees preferred
  • Less than a year of retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
  • Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately
  • Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
  • Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions
  • Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe's
  • Provides SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's customer service policies and programs
  • Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, or loading merchandise
  • Listens and responds to customer and employee questions by guiding them through projects when necessary
  • Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
  • Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, benefits, applications, and warranties
  • Coaches, develops, and trains associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities
  • Uses cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds
  • Provides monetary change to CSA Front End associates for register activities
  • Supervises, coaches, and supports CSA Front End team
  • Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise
  • Answers incoming phone calls and directs or takes messages
  • Opens additional registers when necessary
  • Assists in line vesting to ensure quick checkout turnaround
  • Prepares register area at shift start and end, checks register and scanner functionality and stocks supplies
  • Inspects returned merchandise for damage
  • Enters and submits customer orders, prints tickets, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets
  • Reviews and places online orders and returned merchandise correctly
  • Looks up product information and competitor prices to verify price matching
  • Records store used items on usage lists
  • Monitors cash amount in drawers, obtains safety bags
  • Monitors store entrances and assists with alarms
  • Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks and reports them
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of store and work areas
  • Maintains a safe and secure environment by conducting safety reviews and noting hazards
  • Adheres to safety requirements relevant to job duties
  • Operates store equipment as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
