Job Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer
  • Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Willingness to monitor multiple registers and assist customers proactively
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members
  • Compliance with safety and housekeeping standards relevant to job duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
  • Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
  • Supervisory experience including directing, delegating, evaluating, and coaching employees
  • Ability to use retail technology including cash registers and scanners
  • Knowledge of store safety and security protocols
  • Experience working in a Lowe's retail store preferred

Job Duties

  • Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
  • Proactively greet and engage with customers to recommend products and services
  • Provide SMART customer service by understanding and addressing customer needs
  • Coach, develop, and train associates on departmental duties and sales opportunities
  • Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using cash registers
  • Prepare register areas and ensure functionality of registers and scanners
  • Observe and report common signs of shoplifting and security risks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in compliance with store standards
  • Operate store equipment such as telephones, paging systems, and surveillance systems
  • Support and supervise CSA front end team activities
