Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services
- Proactively greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
- Move throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure accurate transaction completion
- Thank customers for their business and invite them back
- Provide SMART customer service following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs
- Seek out customers to understand needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
- Listen and respond knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, assisting in project walkthroughs
- Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers
- Communicate information regarding stock, special orders, product features, and warranty programs
- Coach and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
- Use cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds according to guidelines
- Provide monetary change to Customer Service Associates for register activities
- Supervise and coach Front End associates
- Remove security tags, verify product information, and bag merchandise
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Open additional registers to ensure coverage
- Assist in line vesting for quicker checkout
- Prepare register area by checking register and scanner functionality and stocking supplies
- Inspect returned merchandise for damages
- Enter and process customer orders and verify receipts
- Review and place online orders and returned merchandise properly
- Verify product info and competitor prices for price matching
- Record store-used items accurately
- Manage cash bags and monitor cash drawer limits
- Monitor store entrances, detect signs of shoplifting and theft, and communicate risks to management
- Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety requirements
- Operate store equipment as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
