Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of computer usage experience including inputting and accessing information
- less than 1 year of experience using retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- ability to lift items up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
- willingness to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift during shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- supervisory experience in directing, training, and coaching employees
- knowledge of detecting common signs of shoplifting
- strong customer service and communication skills
Job Duties
- Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- proactively greet and engage with customers while recommending products and services
- operate cash registers to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
- supervise and coach front-end associates including loaders
- prepare register areas and ensure functionality of equipment
- inspect returned merchandise and handle customer orders
- maintain store safety by detecting security risks and adhering to safety protocols
