Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent EMS experience
- Valid Pennsylvania state paramedic license
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and PHTLS
- Completion of DOT-approved flight physiology course
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and controlled substances documentation
- Ability to respond within 45 minutes to call
- Physical ability to transfer and position patients of all ages and conditions
Job Qualifications
- Certification as FP-C, CCEMT-P, or approved critical care course
- Three to four years of related EMS experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and PHTLS certifications
- Pennsylvania state paramedic license
- Possession of current passport
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including word processing
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in complex environments
- Commitment to compliance with medical and safety regulations
Job Duties
- Evaluates and coordinates medical care provided to patients during transport
- Performs preflight checks including medical equipment and oxygen loading
- Communicates patient condition and relevant information with transport team
- Conducts thorough patient assessments and monitors vital signs continuously
- Coordinates safe transfer and documentation of patients and medical records
- Completes post-flight documentation and equipment maintenance
- Provides mentoring and orientation for new program and flight crew members
