Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent EMS experience
  • Valid Pennsylvania state paramedic license
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and PHTLS
  • Completion of DOT-approved flight physiology course
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and controlled substances documentation
  • Ability to respond within 45 minutes to call
  • Physical ability to transfer and position patients of all ages and conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Certification as FP-C, CCEMT-P, or approved critical care course
  • Three to four years of related EMS experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and PHTLS certifications
  • Pennsylvania state paramedic license
  • Possession of current passport
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including word processing
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in complex environments
  • Commitment to compliance with medical and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Evaluates and coordinates medical care provided to patients during transport
  • Performs preflight checks including medical equipment and oxygen loading
  • Communicates patient condition and relevant information with transport team
  • Conducts thorough patient assessments and monitors vital signs continuously
  • Coordinates safe transfer and documentation of patients and medical records
  • Completes post-flight documentation and equipment maintenance
  • Provides mentoring and orientation for new program and flight crew members
