Job Requirements
- Hold a valid CDL-A or CDL-B license with air brake and passenger endorsements
- Be able to work Monday through Saturday with a five-day workweek including some split shifts
- Meet LRTA-specific employment standards
- Pass required background checks and drug screenings
- Have reliable transportation to and from the workplace
- Be available to attend training sessions and meetings as required
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license with air brake and passenger endorsements
- Previous bus driving or commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to work a five-day work week including split shifts
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of local routes and transit procedures
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
Job Duties
- Operate buses safely and efficiently on fixed routes
- Ensure passenger safety and comfort
- Adhere to scheduled routes and time tables
- Provide courteous and professional customer service
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
