Job Duties
- operation of the dish machine including scraping, soaking, stacking, and racking of soiled dishes, glasses, utensils and other service wares
- return service wares to appropriate areas of storage once cleaned and sanitized
- keep all equipment including racks, bus tubs and rack dollies clean, sanitized and organized
- remove all refuse generated throughout dietary department including bagged refuse and recyclable cardboard
- maintenance of department floors including sweeping, mopping and scheduled stripping
- assist cooks with washing pots and pans
- clean work area according to schedules and assignments
- provide support services to other dining rooms and special programs as needed
- assist chef with preparing and/or dishing up desserts, garnishing plates, preparing and delivering room service trays
- maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image
- attend and participate in-services as required by federal, state, and company requirements
