Job Duties

  • operation of the dish machine including scraping, soaking, stacking, and racking of soiled dishes, glasses, utensils and other service wares
  • return service wares to appropriate areas of storage once cleaned and sanitized
  • keep all equipment including racks, bus tubs and rack dollies clean, sanitized and organized
  • remove all refuse generated throughout dietary department including bagged refuse and recyclable cardboard
  • maintenance of department floors including sweeping, mopping and scheduled stripping
  • assist cooks with washing pots and pans
  • clean work area according to schedules and assignments
  • provide support services to other dining rooms and special programs as needed
  • assist chef with preparing and/or dishing up desserts, garnishing plates, preparing and delivering room service trays
  • maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image
  • attend and participate in-services as required by federal, state, and company requirements
