Job Duties
- Operation of the dish machine including scraping, soaking, stacking and racking of soiled dishes, glasses, utensils and other service wares
- Return service wares to appropriate areas of storage once cleaned and sanitized
- Keep all equipment including racks, bus tubs and rack dollies clean, sanitized and organized
- Remove all refuse generated throughout dietary department including bagged refuse and recyclable cardboard
- Responsible for maintenance of department floors including sweeping, mopping and scheduled stripping
- Assist cooks with washing pots and pans
- Clean work area according to schedules and assignments
- Provide support services to other dining rooms and special programs as needed
- Assist chef with preparing and/or dishing up desserts, garnishing plates, preparing and delivering room service trays
- Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image
- Attend and participate in services as required by federal, state, and company requirements
