Job Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field
- Minimum three years of culinary food preparation experience
- Minimum three years of management experience in culinary or hospitality
- Food Service Manager certification for skilled nursing facilities
- Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull weights up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work tactfully with diverse groups including ill, disabled, and elderly
- Must meet state and federal employment eligibility requirements

- Food Service Manager Certification for Skilled Nursing Facilities
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- Three or more years of culinary and food preparation experience
- Three or more years of management experience in culinary or hospitality roles
Job Duties
- Develop, implement and evaluate daily culinary department schedules and processes
- Ensure all culinary personnel follow policy and procedures
- Coordinate and provide hot and cold foods for community events
- Create and execute corrective plans to address survey inspection results
- Maintain a reference library of menus, recipes, policies, procedures, standards and diet manuals
- Ensure food meets presentation, quality, and safety standards
- Comply with purchasing practices, ordering from approved vendors
- Establish food service production workflows to ensure timely meal preparation
- Determine staffing requirements and assign personnel per shift
- Address staffing and hiring needs proactively
- Manage applicant flow and conduct timely interviews
- Coordinate and schedule in-service training and orientations
- Train culinary staff to perform their roles effectively
- Ensure staff meet in-service and federal, state, company training requirements
- Monitor employee performance and collaborate with Executive Director on issues
- Maintain clean and sanitary dining, food storage, and prep areas
- Ensure safety regulations are followed, including use of hazardous materials
- Recommend equipment and supply needs
- Place orders for approved equipment and supplies
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets for hazardous chemicals
- Manage inventory and replenishment of food and equipment
- Prepare and plan dining service budget and submit for approval
- Perform other related duties as assigned
