Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three years related experience and/or training
  • knowledge of HT Internet software, email, inventory software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software
  • ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • ability to perform operations using American money and measurement units
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to written, oral, or diagram instructions
  • complete company training including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and department manager training
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, taste or smell
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 60 pounds occasionally
  • ability to work in wet or humid conditions and around moving mechanical parts
  • flexible and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department
  • assist the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department
  • perform duties of baker, fryer, cake decorator, Fresh Foods clerks, and chef as needed
  • interview and train associates
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • assist in appraising performance
  • reward and discipline associates
  • address complaints and resolve problems
