Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience in a commercial or senior living setting
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Availability to work weekends and flexible hours
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in senior living preferred
  • Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required
  • Great organizational skills a must
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and presentation of food product is required
  • Must be able to work weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot and cold menu items which requires working on the grill, sauté station, salad-bar and on the service line
  • Ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes
  • Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient food service
  • Monitor inventory and report supply needs
