Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of food preparation and cooking experience
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to read and comprehend recipes
  • Ability to work with Alzheimer's and dementia patients
  • Reliable transportation for consistent attendance
  • Must pass background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • One year food preparation and cooking experience including grilling, sautéing, broiling, frying, and baking
  • Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health
  • Knowledge and understanding of food safety regulations
  • Ability to read and understand menus and recipes, substituting equivalents of equal nutritional value when appropriate
  • Willingness to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia-related disease
  • Reliable means of transportation to consistently meet attendance and punctuality standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve the residents in our community
  • Ensure all dietary needs are prepared and met
  • Prepare modified food as directed
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, presentation, and timeliness of food items
  • Perform other duties as needed
