Job Requirements

  • associates must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
  • ability to write simple correspondence in English
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers and perform operations using American money, volume, and weight measurements
  • ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and taste or smell
  • ability to occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • specific vision abilities including close vision, color, and depth perception

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • culinary experience
  • sales experience
  • knowledge of cooking terminology, ingredients, and food safety practices
  • ability to use various kitchen equipment and cooking methods
  • ability to read and follow directions
  • ability to use portion control tools
  • ability to garnish food appropriately

Job Duties

  • take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding their expectations
  • prepare, process, package, and stock products according to fresh foods standards
  • provide customer service
  • clean work areas
  • unload stock and reload salvage products according to fresh foods standards
  • participate in and complete required training
  • cooperate with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop
