Job Requirements
- associates must be at least 18 years of age
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
- ability to write simple correspondence in English
- ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers and perform operations using American money, volume, and weight measurements
- ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge
- ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and taste or smell
- ability to occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- specific vision abilities including close vision, color, and depth perception
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- culinary experience
- sales experience
- knowledge of cooking terminology, ingredients, and food safety practices
- ability to use various kitchen equipment and cooking methods
- ability to read and follow directions
- ability to use portion control tools
- ability to garnish food appropriately
Job Duties
- take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding their expectations
- prepare, process, package, and stock products according to fresh foods standards
- provide customer service
- clean work areas
- unload stock and reload salvage products according to fresh foods standards
- participate in and complete required training
- cooperate with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop
