Job Requirements
- Class A CDL license or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Compliance with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- Class A or B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screening
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Recommended 1 year experience driving semi-truck/trailer or equivalent certification
- 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred
- 3 months experience operating forklift or Moffett loading equipment beneficial
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Job Duties
- Provides SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's customer service policies and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- Listens and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions
- Communicates product, stock, special order, benefit, application, and warranty information to customers
- Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise on schedule
- Pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload limits
- Inspects condition of products before loading or assisting customers
- Ensures delivery loads are safe, secure, and comply with DOT regulations
- Updates delivery and route status on system devices
- Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
- Performs daily vehicle inspections and reports maintenance needs
- Completes DOT reporting and maintains CDL compliance
- Detects and reports shoplifting, theft, and security risks
- Maintains store cleanliness and organization through compliance with housekeeping standards
- Operates store equipment as required
- Adheres to all safety requirements and procedures relevant to job duties
- Performs other assigned duties as needed
