Job Requirements
- Possession of Class A or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain
- Ability to pass motor vehicle record screening
- Ability to obtain necessary sales licensure or registration
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Compliance with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- Class A CDL license for multi-unit CMV operation or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement for single-unit CMV operation
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain upon employment
- Ability to pass driving and medical record screenings per company policy
- Ability to obtain sales-related licensure if required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
- Experience driving semi-truck or trailer preferred
- Experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred
- Experience operating forklift or Moffett for loading or offloading preferred
Job Duties
- Provides SMART customer service at all times through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, or loading merchandise
- Listens and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects when necessary
- Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- Communicates information on stock, special orders, feature benefits, application, and warranty related to Lowe's programs
- Contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with truck driver
- Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise on schedule
- Pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload according to delivery order
- Inspects condition of products before loading or assisting customer
- Matches items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers
- Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with Department of Transportation regulations
- Updates delivery and route status on system for tracking
- Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
- Verifies vehicle inspections and ensures maintenance and cleanliness of delivery vehicles and equipment
- Completes Department of Transportation reporting for certification and CDL compliance
- Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks and reports promptly
- Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Maintains safe and secure work environment through daily safety reviews and precautionary measures
- Adheres to safety requirements relevant to job duties including use of safety equipment and procedures
- Operates store equipment as needed depending on role
- Performs other assigned duties as required
