Job Requirements
- Class A CDL license or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- Class A CDL license or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
- Preferred 1 year experience driving semi-truck or trailer or driving school certification
- Preferred 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service
- Preferred 3 months experience operating forklift or Moffett loading or offloading vehicle
Job Duties
- Provide SMART customer service at all times
- Seek out customers to understand needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, or loading merchandise
- Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects when necessary
- Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers
- Communicate information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, features, applications, and warranty information
- Contact customers regarding delivery or coordinate with truck drivers to call customers
- Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule
- Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits according to orders
- Inspect condition of products before loading or assisting customers
- Match items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions and model numbers
- Ensure loads are safe, secure, and comply with Department of Transportation regulations
- Update delivery and route status on tracking devices
- Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery
- Verify daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and repairs of delivery vehicles and equipment
- Complete Department of Transportation reporting to maintain certifications and compliance
- Detect signs of shoplifting and security risks and promptly inform management
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of store and work areas
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews and noting hazards
- Operate store equipment relevant to the role
- Perform other duties as assigned
