Job Requirements
- Class A CDL license or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass motor vehicle record screening
- Ability to obtain requisite sales-related licensure or registration as mandated by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with Department of Transportation and CDL regulations.
Job Qualifications
- Class A CDL license for multi-unit commercial motor vehicles or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement for single-unit vehicles
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to comply with Department of Transportation and CDL regulations
- Must be 21 years or older
- Experience driving a semi-truck or trailer preferred
- Experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred
- Experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading and unloading vehicles preferred.
Job Duties
- Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies and programs
- Seek out customers to understand needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- Listen and respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary
- Communicate information about stock, special orders, product features, benefits, applications, and warranties
- Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule
- Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits
- Inspect products before loading or assisting with loading
- Match invoice items with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions and model numbers
- Ensure loads are safe, secure, and comply with Department of Transportation regulations
- Update delivery and route status for tracking purposes
- Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery
- Verify daily vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of delivery vehicles and equipment
- Complete Department of Transportation reporting to maintain certification and CDL compliance
- Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks and promptly report to management
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization through adherence to housekeeping standards and programs
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews and securing aisles and doors
- Adhere to safety requirements relevant to job duties, including the use of safety devices and equipment
- Operate store equipment such as Zebra phones, paging systems, copiers, CCTV surveillance, paint mixers, and floor cutters as required
- Perform other duties as assigned.
