Job Requirements
- Class A CDL license or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- valid medical certificate or ability to obtain
- ability to pass motor vehicle record screen
- ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration
- ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- minimum 21 years of age
- compliance with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- Class A CDL license for multi-unit CMV operation or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement for single-unit CMV
- valid medical certificate or ability to obtain
- ability to pass motor vehicle record screen
- ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law
- ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- minimum 21 years of age
- compliance with DOT and CDL regulations
- experience driving semi-trucks or certification from driving school preferred
- experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred
- experience operating forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading preferred
Job Duties
- Provides SMART customer service at all times through execution of Lowe's customer service policies
- seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions
- demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- communicates product information including stock, special orders, features, application, and warranty
- contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with truck driver
- plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise according to schedule
- pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload limits
- inspects condition of products before delivery
- matches items on invoice with quantities loaded
- ensures loads are safe, secure, and comply with DOT regulations
- updates delivery and route status on tracking systems
- unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
- verifies vehicle inspections and ensures maintenance and cleanliness of delivery vehicles and equipment
- completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance
- detects signs of theft and communicates security risks
- complies with housekeeping standards to maintain store cleanliness and organization
- maintains safe work environment including safety reviews and hazard reporting
- adheres to all relevant safety requirements
- operates store equipment as needed
- performs other duties as assigned
