Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience
- ability to perform basic math including computing rate, ratio and percent
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- strong oral and written communication skills
- ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
- strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- ability to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
- promote the SCHEELS Visa Rewards card and explain all benefits
- accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
- maintain a clean working environment and personal workspace
- engage in conversation with customers to personalize each transaction
- end each transaction by thanking the customer
- maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
