Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to perform basic math including rate, ratio and percent calculations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation

Job Duties
- Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
- Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and be able to clearly explain all benefits
- Accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
- Maintain a clean working environment and personal work space
- Engage in conversation with the customer to add a personal touch to each and every transaction
- End each transaction by saying thank you to every customer
- Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
- Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
- Perform basic math including computing rate, ratio and percent and interpreting bar graphs
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Write simple correspondence
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Show strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement while contributing to a positive team atmosphere
- Exercise judgment and tact while working with customers or co workers
- Communicate effectively and timely with all organizational levels
- Work assigned schedules with varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
