Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and smell regularly
- Occasional ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to maintain personal grooming and dress according to company policy
- Ability to notify management at least 2 hours in advance if late or absent
- Compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle, mix, and apply chemicals properly
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality
- Capability to adapt to changing work environments and priorities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience or training
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English
- Effective oral communication skills in English
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions
- Willingness to complete company training programs including food safety
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock fresh food products according to company standards
- Provide exceptional customer service with friendly and prompt attention
- Prepare and decorate bakery items, including bread, rolls, muffins, pies, cakes, and cookies
- Bake, fry, broil, and/or roast meats according to standards
- Operate necessary equipment for food preparation and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, counters, and food contact surfaces
- Follow product rotation, markdown, and food safety policies
- Unload deliveries and stock shelves while managing inventory and backstock
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Assist fellow associates to complete daily tasks collaboratively
- Ensure proper refrigeration and temperature control of products
- Comply with all safety regulations and report hazards
- Adapt to shifting priorities and multitask effectively
- Represent the company with professionalism and a positive attitude
